I did a bit of spring skiing at Solitude Mountain Resort yesterday morning. On the way back down Big Cottonwood Canyon I decided to take the short hike to Hidden Falls and I am really glad I did!

Hidden Falls is a little gem in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. It is a very short hike at the “S curve” in Bit Cottonwood Canyon. The parking area is also used by people hiking to Lake Blanche. Click HERE for a map.
The trail took me along a creek a short distance to the falls. Getting close to the base of Hidden Falls required a bit of hopping across rocks and my feet did dip into the icy cold water, but I didn’t care!
I also did a short scramble up both sides of the tiny canyon for a different perspective and got pretty good videos from these places.

The hike to Hidden Falls is very short. It didn’t even take me five minutes to get across the road and up to the falls. Scrambling above was another thing altogether!
