Reflections While Hiking In Utah

I have gotten pretty lucky on many hikes and have gotten some pretty stunning images of fall colors and mountains reflecting off lakes.  This post contains a sample of my photos of reflections while hiking in Utah. The image above is Lake Blanche in Big Cottonwood Canyon in the fall.

The image on the left is a small pond at the top of Bell Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains near Sandy, Utah. On the right is Amethyst Lake in the Uinta Range.

The image above is of the iconic Pfeifferhorn reflecting off one of the Maybird Lakes. The Maybird Gulch Trail takes off from the trail to Red Pine Lake in Big Cottowood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains.

Above, left to right, are Mt. Millicent reflecting off Silver Lake, Dog Lake in the summer and Desolation Lake in the fall. All are in Big Cottonwood Canyon, which is in the Wasatch Range just east of the Salt Lake City metro area.

The images above are from a hike I took to see fall colors around Silver Lake. Silver Lake is near the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon just below Brighton Ski resort.

The images above are from the High Uintas. The Uinta Mountain Range contains the highest peaks in Utah and are in the northern part of the state and run along the southern border of Wyoming.

Dog Lake, in Big Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range, is one of my favorite fall hikes. The colors reflecting off the still water are absolutely breathtaking!

Above is another image from the High Uintas. This is Hoover Lake with the sun just coming up and reflecting off the calm, blue water.

Red Pine Lake, in Big Cottonwood Canyon, is a great hike. Above are images I took in the spring and in summer. I love Red Pine because the traihead is less than 30 minutes from where I live in Sandy, Utah.

Above are a couple of images from hikes in the High Uintas.

This final image is sunrise at Wall Lake in the Uintas.

As you can see, this Old Hiking Dude loves finding interesting scenes involving reflections. I hope readers enjoy these!
